Eric Mugg 5th Grade Mission Estancia

We will be going to Dana Point on Wednesday the 25th, make sure to bring a sack lunch and wear appropriate shoes for walking on the beach.

The time that the presentation starts is 8:15 and it will be held in Mrs. Slade’s Room (Room 106).  Students need to come to school dressed and ready to perform.  They can bring a change of clothes to change into after the presentation.  The students are looking forward to performing their parts.

The parts have been given out and everybody is in the swing of getting to memorize their lines.  We will be performing on December 7th at 8:15.  Please plan on coming to the event.  It will last about 2 1/2 hours, so block that time out of your schedule.  The kids are getting excited.  Please help your child come up with a costume.  They can google their character to see an image for ideas.

Our class will be going to the Holiday Shop on Tuesday the 29th.  We will be going from 9:20-9:40.  If you plan to shop please bring in your money on that day.  It will be open on Wednesday as well but you will have to go on your own time.

We are now back in our classroom and we are ready to get back into the swing of things.  Please check daily homework page and the main page to keep updated.  We will have a field trip to the Star Theater to view “The Sound of Music” on November 16th at 9:00 a.m.  please look for the filed trip slip, it will be coming home shortly.

Please make sure to have all of your gear here at school on Wednesday when the students arrive at school.  We will leave about 1:15 and then return around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.  The students will be able to go home with an adult after they return to school on Thursday.  Remember no extra food. You will also need to pack a snack to eat once we get down to the Ship on Wednesday.  They will eat this while we are taking care of all of the correct paper work. We are going to have a great time.

Over the weekend we experienced a flood in the 100 pod.  We are going to be out of our classroom for a couple of days but we are carrying on with all of our normal routines.  Homework might be lighter than usual because of the flood.  Please check with the office to find out where I will be holding my conferences.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Come to Mission Estancia on Thursday the 25th from 6:00-8:00 and enjoy some ice cream.  What a way to cool off from the heat that we have been having.
